Man Declared Dead Returns Home Alive

In a shocking turn of events, a man presumed dead and cremated in Chhattisgarh's Jashpur district has reappeared alive, two months after his family identified a charred body as his. This development has left local police and the administration in a quandary, prompting urgent questions about the identity of the deceased and the validity of previous confessions.

The case began when a badly burnt body was discovered in a forest patch. Despite the severe damage, Simit Khakha's family identified it as him. Based on this identification and alleged confessions, Jashpur police arrested four individuals for murder, who were subsequently sent to jail without a DNA test.

However, the situation dramatically shifted when Simit Khakha, who had been working in Jharkhand, returned home. He explained his absence by stating he had lost contact with his companions and found work in another district, unaware of the events back home.
