Tragic Love Triangle Ends in Murder-Suicide in Sirsa

A grim incident unfolded late Monday night in Sirsa, where a young man is alleged to have murdered his girlfriend before dying by suicide in a rented house. The deceased have been identified as Simran, a dancer from Ratia, and Sunil, who hailed from Jind. Simran's body was discovered on a bed with visible neck injuries, while Sunil was found dead on the floor, a scarf tied around his neck. Preliminary findings suggest Simran was strangled, and Sunil subsequently took his own life using her scarf. The pair had reportedly argued shortly after Sunil arrived at Simran's residence. Roommates present at the time were asked to sleep downstairs and later alerted authorities when Simran did not emerge from her room on Tuesday morning. Police have secured the scene and sent both bodies for post-mortem examinations, with mobile phones also sent for forensic analysis. Families of the deceased have been notified as the investigation continues.
