2 Jul
Summary
- Accused's old video from a nightclub has resurfaced online.
- Investigators are examining the accused's handling of the deceased's phone.
- The crime scene at Lohagad Fort was recently recreated by police.
An unearthed video from late 2025 features prime accused Siya Goyal in a nightclub, reportedly using abusive language on the phone. This footage has surfaced alongside another clip from May 7, showing her fiancé Ketan Agarwal celebrating with families before his death. Investigators are scrutinizing Goyal's possession of Agarwal's mobile phone after his passing, seeking to determine if any evidence was compromised.
Ketan Agarwal, 25, died on June 18 after falling from a cliff at Lohagad Fort, with the case initially deemed accidental before turning into a murder investigation. Police allege Goyal, 20, and her alleged lover, Chetan Chaudhary, 22, conspired in his death. They were arrested on June 23. Prosecutors sought extended custody to investigate the phone's activity while it was with Goyal.
Investigators claim Goyal took Agarwal's phone before he was allegedly pushed from the cliff and subsequently handed it to his family. The Pune Rural Police recently conducted a crime scene recreation at Lohagad Fort with Chaudhary, following a similar exercise with Goyal. Allegations suggest Goyal signaled Chaudhary before the fatal push, and the pair may have rehearsed the act.
