In a swift operation, Mumbai police apprehended Roshan Suvarna, who allegedly fatally stabbed 22-year-old Mayank Lohar during a drunken altercation on a local train on June 24. Suvarna, who had no known criminal record and worked at a cargo handling facility, reportedly fled the scene.
Following the attack, Suvarna allegedly returned home, packed his belongings, and attempted to flee Mumbai. However, his escape was short-lived.
Law enforcement officials utilized extensive surveillance, reviewing footage from approximately 400 CCTV cameras. A key piece of evidence was the prominent company logo visible on Suvarna's T-shirt, which directly led to his identification and arrest less than 15 hours after the crime.
