Mumbai Station Calm: Meditation, Not Conversion

Following the circulation of a video depicting a girl and an elderly man at Mumbai's Andheri railway station, the Government Railway Police (GRP) initiated an inquiry. The viral clip, which captured what appeared to be a prayer and guidance, had led to social media speculation about a religious conversion attempt. However, the GRP's investigation has debunked these claims.

Authorities confirmed that the individuals involved were known to each other and were engaged in practicing a Japanese meditation technique. The onlooker who filmed the video was heard questioning the man about conducting religious practices in a public space. The GRP noted that no commuter had lodged a formal complaint.

The girl involved expressed distress over being filmed without her consent. The GRP has since requested that the relevant authorities take down the viral video clip from social media platforms.
