Mumbai Police Reunite Kidnapped Girl with Family After 6-Month Search

On November 15, 2025, Mumbai Police announced the successful reunion of a 4-year-old girl with her parents, nearly six months after she was kidnapped from the CSMT-Fort area in the city. The child had come to Mumbai from Solapur with her parents and infant brother for her father's medical treatment at St. George Hospital. She went missing on May 20, 2025, while playing near the CSMT station.
Immediately after the disappearance, the parents reported the incident to the police. Ten specialized teams were formed to locate the child, tracing her movements through CCTV footage from the Fort area, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, and Bhusawal. The investigation revealed that an unidentified person had taken the girl on a train bound for Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
