Mumbai Businessman Honey-Trapped for Gold

A daring honey-trapping and robbery incident in Mumbai has led to the arrest of four individuals by Aarey Police. The victim, a 45-year-old businessman from Deonar, was targeted after a woman named Saira befriended him, posing as a representative of a domestic help agency. Their meeting, initially planned for Powai, was rerouted to a secluded spot in Aarey Colony, Goregaon East.

Once at the location near Aarey dairy, the businessman was attacked with chilli powder by two accomplices who emerged on a motorcycle. The assailants swiftly snatched his gold chain, valued at approximately Rs 5 lakh, before fleeing the scene. The victim immediately lodged a complaint with the police, initiating an investigation.

Following the businessman's report, Aarey Police initiated a thorough investigation, reviewing footage from 17 surveillance cameras. This led to the identification and arrest of Saira and her accomplices: Vishal Wagh, Namesh Surve, and Jehangir Qureshi. Wagh has a prior criminal record with multiple cases registered against him.
