Rickshaw Driver Kills Wife, Then Dies by Suicide

In Bandra East, Mumbai, an auto-rickshaw driver identified as Nawab Warsi fatally attacked his wife, Najma Warsi, before dying by suicide. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, stemmed from ongoing family disputes related to household expenses. The couple, both remarried, had been residing in Behram Nagar for the past year.

Police reports indicate that Nawab, a rickshaw puller, frequently missed work and did not contribute financially to their household. This pattern led to frequent arguments between the couple over the last two weeks. Najma had reportedly left her mother's home following a recent dispute, only to return after Nawab promised to cover expenses.

However, their reconciliation was short-lived as another argument erupted, culminating in the fatal attack. Najma's mother alerted the Nirmal Nagar police when she could not reach the couple. Officers gained entry to the residence and discovered both individuals deceased, with medical personnel later confirming their deaths at Sion Hospital.
