The arrest stems from allegations that Adenwala illegally renewed his arms license, which was originally issued by Nagaland. He reportedly used fraudulent documents, including a fake Police Clearance Certificate, to achieve this.
Authorities stated that Adenwala was found in possession of firearms based on this allegedly illicitly obtained license. Furthermore, he is accused of failing to provide the required mandatory information about his firearm to the Brihanmumbai Police Commissionerate. The court remanded Adenwala to police custody until June 2, with further investigation ongoing.
