Summary

- Victim was pulled into MRI by 20lb metal chain.
- Accident occurred while assisting his wife with imaging.

The widow of Keith McAllister has filed a lawsuit against Nassau Open MRI, alleging negligence led to her husband's death. The incident occurred on July 16, 2025, when Keith was assisting his wife, Adrienne Jones-McAllister, off an MRI table.
A technician allegedly summoned Keith to help Adrienne, failing to ensure he removed the 20lb metal chain he wore for weight training. The powerful magnets in the MRI machine then forcefully pulled Keith into the device via the chain.
Keith was trapped for nearly an hour before being freed. He suffered multiple heart attacks and was rushed to the hospital, where he died on July 17, 2025, from his injuries. His wife witnessed the horrific event and is suing for wrongful death.
The lawsuit names multiple entities, including Nassau Open MRI P.C., East Coast Radiology P.C., Sun Enterprises, and GM Partners Westbury LLC. The family previously sought support through a GoFundMe page.
