Motorcycle Gunman Kills Deputy, Sparks High-Speed Chase

On October 27, 2025, a tragic incident unfolded in Rancho Cucamonga, California. Authorities received a call about a possible domestic violence incident, and when deputies responded around 1:30 pm, one of them—Deputy Andrew Nunez—was fatally shot by the suspect, who was riding a motorcycle.

The gunman then fled the scene, reaching triple-digit speeds and reportedly driving against oncoming traffic multiple times along the 210 Freeway. About five minutes later, the suspect collided with a car on the eastbound lanes near exit 56 in Ontario. Footage from the scene showed the suspect sitting upright in a neck brace, surrounded by law enforcement before being placed on a gurney and airlifted to a hospital.
