Victoria Hart, a 33-year-old expatriate from Solihull, was discovered deceased in her Alhaurín el Grande residence on January 24th. Local reports indicate she was found with a kitchen knife nearby, having been subjected to a fatal stabbing attack around 11:40 AM.
The victim's eldest child, an 11-year-old boy, reportedly sought help from neighbors before calling his grandmother. Police subsequently arrested the former partner and father of the children, Juan Antonio Rueda, after he drove to a nearby prison and admitted to committing a serious offense.
Rueda appeared in court on January 22nd, charged with Ms. Hart's murder. During the proceedings, he requested a mental health assessment and remained largely silent. It emerged the couple was divorcing, and Rueda had a prior suspended sentence for breaching a restraining order against him.
