A domestic dispute in New Delhi's New Seemapuri resulted in a tragic death on Wednesday, when a 60-year-old woman was allegedly killed by her son. Hamidun Nisha died after her son, Sher Ali, 27, reportedly threw her to the floor.
The incident occurred when Nisha attempted to intervene in an argument between Ali and his wife. According to police, the quarrel escalated, leading Ali to push his mother, causing a severe head injury that proved fatal.
Family members confirmed the events, with Nisha's daughter, Sabnam, filing a complaint detailing the assault. Based on this and preliminary findings, a case has been registered against Sher Ali under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, pertaining to murder.
Ali, who works as a tailor in Loni, Ghaziabad, is now facing charges. Police are continuing their investigation, recording statements from family members and witnesses to reconstruct the sequence of events leading to the fatal altercation.
