In Haibowal, a six-year-old girl was saved from an alleged abduction attempt by her mother and grandmother on Saturday. Police have registered a case against five individuals, including the girl's father, Amandeep Sharma, and grandfather, Hemraj Sharma, for orchestrating the plot.
The girl's mother, Anupriya, reported that her estranged husband desired custody of their daughter. Suspicious activity, including being followed and photographed, was noticed prior to the incident. On Saturday, two men on a scooter approached their residence.
Anupriya's mother acted quickly, removing the scooter's key and raising an alarm, which alerted nearby residents. The crowd apprehended the two men, Onkar Singh and Tejpal Singh, and handed them over to the police. During interrogation, they reportedly confessed to being sent by Amandeep and Hemraj to abduct the child.
