Lorinda Hall, the mother of Victoria Hall, who was murdered in 1999, has passed away at the age of 70. She died peacefully in hospital on December 18, 2025, after a 26-year wait to see justice served for her daughter. Victoria was just 17 when she disappeared on September 19, 1999, after leaving a nightclub in Felixstowe, Suffolk.

Steve Wright, 67, who is currently serving a whole-life sentence for five other murders committed in Ipswich in 2006, has been charged with Victoria Hall's kidnap and murder. He has pleaded not guilty to these charges, as well as to the attempted kidnapping of another woman the day before Victoria's disappearance. His trial is due to commence at the Old Bailey in London on February 2, 2026.

Mr Justice Bennathan ruled that Wright's past crimes can be presented to the jury during the upcoming trial. Victoria's body was discovered five days after her disappearance, with none of her clothing or possessions ever recovered. Her father, Graham, had expressed hope for justice even after two decades, a hope now tragically cut short by Lorinda's passing.
