Mother and Daughter's Deadly Plot Exposed

A mother and daughter orchestrated a disturbing plot to murder Harold Allen for financial gain. Marsha Allen and her daughter, Ashley Jones, engaged in thousands of text messages detailing their efforts to poison Harold over several months. These messages revealed their use of exotic poisons, including Pong Pong seeds and ethylene glycol. The deadly conspiracy culminated in Harold's death on December 20, 2022, after consuming a root beer float poisoned with ethylene glycol. Ashley Jones later confessed to assisting her mother and pleaded guilty to attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder, receiving a 50-year prison sentence. Marsha Allen died by suicide shortly after her interview with investigators. Police are also investigating the prior death of Ashley's husband, Ty Jones, for similar suspicious circumstances.
