Fugitive Linked to Moose Wala Linked to Kabaddi Murder
19 Dec
Summary
- Shaganpreet Singh, linked to Sidhu Moose Wala, is implicated in a kabaddi player's murder.
- A gang's social media post claimed responsibility for the Dec 15 killing, naming Shaganpreet.
- Shaganpreet remains a proclaimed offender, sought internationally for other crimes.

Shaganpreet Singh, a figure once linked to slain Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala and a suspect in the murder of Vicky Middukhera, has re-emerged in connection with a recent gang-related killing. A social media post by the Ghanshyampuria gang claimed responsibility for the December 15 murder of kabaddi player Kanwar Digvijay Singh, alias Rana Balachauria, and prominently featured Shaganpreet's photograph and name. The gang alleged Balachauria harbored killers of Sidhu Moose Wala, framing the murder as revenge.
Punjab Police have stated they have no evidence linking Balachauria to the Moose Wala assassination, yet Shaganpreet's inclusion in the claim raises serious concerns. Shaganpreet, who managed Moose Wala's professional engagements, is accused of conducting reconnaissance for Middukhera's murder. He reportedly fled to Australia after evading arrest in Mohali approximately three years ago. He is a proclaimed offender, and international notices have been issued for his arrest.
In January 2025, three shooters were convicted for Vicky Middukhera's August 7, 2021 murder, but alleged conspirators were acquitted due to insufficient evidence. With Shaganpreet's name surfacing again, investigators are intensifying efforts to locate the fugitive and unravel the broader conspiracy behind these violent incidents.
