Investigators confirmed the boy's identity through social media and by observing him refer to Hogan's sister as 'Mommy'.
Hogan turned herself in on December 18, 2025, posting a $50,000 bond. Her attempted murder case remains pending, with a court appearance scheduled for January 27, 2026. The judge expressed doubt about Hogan's truthful testimony regarding the DNA test after reviewing surveillance footage.
