Kentucky authorities arrested Brook McDaniel, 27, on suspicion of child abuse for allegedly tattooing her 22-month-old son. The incident came to light during a home visit by Kentucky State Police in response to a child abuse complaint.
Investigators reported finding the toddler with a black dot tattoo on his arm, which was red around the area. McDaniel allegedly admitted that while she was tattooing herself, the child approached and his arm was inadvertently placed in the path of the tattoo gun.
The family's home was described as being in deplorable conditions. As a result of the findings, McDaniel was arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault, child abuse. The Department for Community-Based Services was contacted.
