A fatal workplace attack occurred late Thursday evening at a private company in Mohali, Punjab. A 30-year-old woman was fatally stabbed by her former partner inside the SPR Logistics office at Bestech Mall.
The assailant attacked the victim multiple times while she was working late. Colleagues attempted to intervene but could not prevent the stabbing.
Following the attack, the accused turned the weapon on himself in an apparent suicide attempt. Both individuals were transported to Fortis hospital in critical condition.
Doctors confirmed the woman's death upon arrival. The former partner, who had reportedly been experiencing mental distress, is critically injured and undergoing treatment.
Police have registered a case, secured CCTV footage of the incident, and are investigating the relationship that ended approximately six months ago.
