Washington Teen Missing After Mysterious Car Ride

A 15-year-old girl from Washington has been missing since December 10, 2025, over a month ago. Ashlynn Hanley was last captured on surveillance footage entering a vehicle driven by 45-year-old Lavelle Antron Cotton. Her mother last communicated with her that morning, expressing love and urging her to make good choices.
Port Orchard police are seeking to interview Cotton, who reportedly owns the vehicle Ashlynn entered. Cotton, also known by aliases, has a concerning criminal history, including a past murder charge as a juvenile and a drug smuggling conviction. He is known to frequent the King County and Tacoma areas.
Authorities confirmed Ashlynn's ankle monitor was cut off near the bowling alley where she was last seen. While police have had phone contact with someone identifying as Cotton, his location remains unknown. Cotton also has an active arrest warrant in Lewis County. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Port Orchard Police Department.
