4 Feb
Summary
- Elderly woman, Nancy, is missing after abduction from her Arizona home.
- Her pacemaker's last sync with Apple devices provides a clue.
- Blood drops and signs of forced entry were found at her residence.

An investigation is underway for Nancy, the 84-year-old mother of Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie, who was abducted from her Tucson, Arizona home on the night of Saturday, January 31. Authorities have declared her a "vulnerable adult" who was taken against her will. Investigators believe Nancy was abducted around 2 a.m. on Sunday, February 1, based on her pacemaker's last sync with her Apple devices, as her Apple Watch was left behind.
Evidence at the scene includes blood drops found leading from the house entryway to the driveway, as well as signs of forced entry. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos confirmed that DNA evidence was collected from the crime scene, with results expected in several days. Savannah Guthrie has publicly broken her silence, asking for prayers as the search for her mother continues. The Pima County Sheriff's Department is treating Nancy's home as a crime scene.
