Youth's Body Found Near River Bank Days After Disappearance

A tragic discovery was made on Wednesday morning when the body of 20-year-old Ajay Kumar was found on the banks of the Burhi Gandak river in Muzaffarpur's Nazirpur area. Ajay had been reported missing since Tuesday evening after he reportedly went towards the river and did not return.
Local villagers spotted the body near Raja Punas around 4 am on Wednesday and alerted Ajay's family. The family confirmed it was him, expressing their grief and shock, as Ajay was their only son. They suspect he may have accidentally slipped while walking along the riverbank and fallen into the water.
Authorities from the Ahiyapur police station reached the scene, recovered the body, and sent it for a postmortem examination at Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital. City SDPO Vinita Sinha stated that the police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the youth's death, awaiting the postmortem report for further clarity.
