On November 4, 2025, Maryland State Police conducted a human trafficking investigation that resulted in the rescue of two missing juvenile females and the arrest of two men. Deion Taurence Philip, 32, of New York, and Antoine Miles, 57, of Maryland, were both charged with sex trafficking of a minor and other related crimes.
The investigation began in September 2025 through a proactive human trafficking enforcement initiative with the Baltimore County Police Department. Investigators observed a young female being advertised online for sexual acts and located her in a Towson, Maryland hotel, identifying her as a critically missing juvenile.
The investigation then led police to a home in West Manheim Township, where they arrested Philip and rescued another missing juvenile female, who is also believed to be a victim of sex trafficking. The property belongs to a relative of Philip's, who has a Brooklyn, New York address.
Philip is currently being held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center, while Miles is awaiting extradition to Maryland from Minnesota. Police believe Philip and Miles may have trafficked additional victims and are asking anyone with information to contact investigators.
