27 Feb
Summary
- Neighbor confessed to murdering a 4-year-old boy in August 2020.
- The investigation reignited after a court-monitored progress.
- The body was allegedly buried near the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.

A six-year investigation into a missing child case has taken a grim turn with a neighbor's confession to murder. The 4-year-old boy, Prince alias Tillu, disappeared in August 2020 from his home in Unbara village, Bandikui. Despite years of investigation by multiple officers, no leads were found until renewed court scrutiny prompted a deeper inquiry.
New inputs suggested a dispute between the boy's family and their neighbor. The accused, living about 200 meters away, was detained and reportedly confessed to abducting and killing the child with a knife on August 16, 2020. He claims to have buried the body near the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, but pinpointing the exact location has been challenging due to the passage of time and the expressway's construction.
Police have been conducting extensive digging operations near the expressway since Thursday, but have yet to recover definitive remains, though some clothing items were found. The accused allegedly hid the body behind his house initially before moving it to the expressway site the following night.
