An 82-year-old Alberta senior, Diane Cooper, is the subject of a cross-border search operation spanning Alberta and Saskatchewan. Cooper was reported missing on April 7, having failed to return to Calgary.
Authorities have traced Cooper's last known movements to April 6. She was observed around 9:30 p.m. CST in Veteran, Alta., and earlier that evening, she stopped to refuel her vehicle in Stettler, Alta. Crucially, surveillance footage later placed her vehicle in Hoosier, Saskatchewan, around 10:51 p.m. CST on the same day.
Cooper is described as five feet three inches tall, approximately 100 pounds, with a slim build, white hair, blue eyes, and wearing eyeglasses. She was last seen in a long, blue puffy jacket. She is believed to be driving a grey Toyota C-HR XLE with Alberta licence plate LVA 978 and may be accompanied by her Dalmatian dog.
Her disappearance is highly uncharacteristic, with no indications of planned travel. The family's concern prompted an immediate and thorough investigation. RCMP detachments in both provinces, supported by air services and specialized units, are actively engaged in the search, focusing on road and aerial surveillance. Public assistance is being sought across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia, with tip lines established for any sightings.
