In a significant crackdown, Delhi police have apprehended two individuals involved in a milk theft operation in the Uttam Nagar area. The arrests followed the emergence of a viral YouTube video dated March 26, 2026, which showed the suspects allegedly stealing dairy products. A special police team was formed, meticulously scanning over 300 CCTV footages and utilizing local intelligence to identify the culprits.
The suspects, identified as Mohit (27) and Ayush Maan Pandey (19), were arrested on April 3 near a church in Shiv Vihar, Vikas Nagar. During their apprehension, police recovered a stolen Bajaj Maximo three-wheeler, reported stolen from Prem Nagar, and 14 empty milk crates. The duo confessed to stealing milk and curd from Uttam Nagar and selling them in the Dabri and Bindapur areas.
Further investigations led to the recovery of an additional stolen Honda Activa scooty and a Honda motorcycle, linked to separate theft cases. Mohit, a repeat offender, has a significant criminal history. With their arrest, police have worked out five cases, including vehicle and dairy product thefts across various stations. All stolen items have been seized, and the investigation continues.
