The search for Nancy Guthrie, a missing matriarch, has gained support from the Mexican nonprofit organization Madres Buscadoras de Sonora. This group, whose name translates to 'Searching Mothers of Sonora,' is dedicated to finding lost individuals.
Ceci Flores Armenta, the founder of the organization, stated that a reporter reached out to them to request assistance in Nancy's case. Armenta clarified that the Guthrie family had not contacted them directly, contrary to some reports, but expressed hope to connect with the family soon.
One of the organization's volunteers, Guadalupe Trejo, is currently searching the terrain outside Nancy's residence in Tucson, Arizona. Trejo, who joined Madres Buscadoras after losing her own son five years ago, understands the anguish of families seeking missing loved ones. The organization, formed in 2019, comprises volunteers committed to locating missing persons, primarily in Sonora, Mexico, but also in other regions.
Two additional mothers are en route to join the search efforts in Arizona, underscoring the dedication of the Madres Buscadoras de Sonora in their mission to bring missing individuals home.
