Summary

- A 66-year-old woman died after a CT scan contrast dosage.
- Staff administering dosage were found unqualified and unauthorized.

Two individuals were arrested by KPHB police on January 15, 2026, in connection with the death of a 66-year-old woman in May 2025. The arrests stem from an incident of alleged medical negligence that led to the patient's demise.
The woman visited MedQuest Diagnostic Centre on May 6, 2025, for a CT scan. A contrast dosage was administered, after which she reportedly suffered complications and cardiac arrest. She died en route to a hospital.
Investigations by KPHB police, including verification with the District Medical and Health Officer, confirmed that the personnel administering the contrast dosage were neither eligible nor authorized. A postmortem examination report also supported the findings of medical negligence contributing to the death.
