A first-year MBBS student at Gandhi Medical College in Bhopal was found dead under mysterious circumstances. The 19-year-old, Roshni Kalesh, a native of Alirajpur, was discovered unconscious in her hostel bathroom.
Her roommates raised an alarm after she did not attend her morning classes. Security personnel were forced to break open the bathroom door, which was locked from the inside, revealing Kalesh lying on the floor. Medical personnel transported her to Hamidia Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Investigators found an empty acid bottle near the student and noted that the bathroom door was locked from within. Initial reports suggest Kalesh was experiencing significant stress due to her academic workload. Her communications with family members indicated difficulties understanding her subjects and considerable pressure.
