In Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, a 32-year-old woman has been booked for the alleged strangulation of her three-year-old son. The tragic incident is reported to have occurred last month, on June 28, in Chhauli village.
Authorities stated that the child's continuous crying allegedly disturbed his mother during a phone call with her alleged lover. This disruption is cited as the potential motive behind the fatal act.
The case came to light nearly a month later when the child's father reportedly overheard his wife discussing the incident during a phone call. Following this, her brother-in-law reviewed her call records and raised suspicions.
Based on a complaint, a case of culpable homicide not amounting to murder has been registered. The accused has not yet been arrested, and further legal action will be taken after a post-mortem examination, which will involve exhuming the child's body.
