On the night of October 6th, 2025, a 28-year-old construction worker named Bambam Kumar was brutally gunned down outside his home in Kumarpur village, Munger district. According to the police report, five masked assailants were lying in wait and opened fire on Bambam as he returned from work, striking him in the right side of the head.
Hearing the gunshots, Bambam's family members rushed outside, but the attackers had already fled the scene. The family immediately informed the Sangrampur police, who arrived and rushed Bambam to the local community health center, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Bambam's wife, Geeta Devi, has stated that the family has no known disputes with anyone, and that her husband was the sole breadwinner, supporting their household which includes his elderly mother, three sons, and a daughter. Police are currently investigating the incident and believe the assailants may have been known to Bambam, as they reportedly made him drink alcohol before the fatal shooting.
The tragic loss of Bambam Kumar has left his family devastated, and the Munger community is in shock over this senseless act of violence. The police have vowed to swiftly identify and apprehend the perpetrators responsible for this heinous crime.
