Darius Wolfe, 20, has been convicted of armed carjacking, assault, and using a firearm during a crime following a violent incident on August 21, 2024. The carjacking took place in Randallstown when the victim, a 66-year-old woman, was approached by three masked men armed with a handgun as she retrieved groceries.
During the carjacking, the woman was assaulted and ordered to stay back. As the suspects drove off, the victim was dragged by the vehicle, and her 87-year-old mother, who attempted to intervene, was run over. The victim suffered a brain bleed and abrasions, while her mother sustained critical injuries including a fractured pelvis and multiple leg fractures.
Meanwhile, data from the Baltimore County Police Department indicates a decrease in vehicle thefts. In 2025, there were 2,907 reported cases, a 32% drop from 4,295 in 2023. The county recorded 3,683 cases in 2024 and 378 so far in 2026.
