A man has admitted to manslaughter following a fatal road collision in Lincolnshire. Bailey Fitzgerald, 29, appeared at Lincoln Crown Court and entered guilty pleas to manslaughter and conspiracy to commit actual bodily harm.
The incident occurred on 24 November 2023, in Tongue End, near Bourne. It involved a grey Ford Focus, a black Vauxhall Insignia, and a grey Volkswagen Touran, leading to the death of Sean Burlton, a father of three.
Fitzgerald's pleas mean he will not face a trial for causing death by dangerous driving. His sentencing is scheduled for after the conclusion of a separate trial.
Separately, Sam Johnson, 26, pleaded not guilty to the charges against him. His trial is slated to commence on 1 September, and will also include five other defendants facing conspiracy charges.
All seven defendants involved in the case have been granted bail.
