In Beed district, Maharashtra, a 23-year-old man named Dnyaneshwar Kokate tragically died by suicide in a tyre puncture shop on the Dhule-Solapur highway. He left behind a suicide note detailing severe harassment and defamation by his lover's family, who opposed their relationship. Kokate's mother reported that four men from the girl's family allegedly beat him, tied him to a tree, and stole his mobile phone and two-wheeler. They also threatened to harm his parents. The note he wrote before his death stated he was severely beaten, falsely accused of theft, and threatened with death. A case has been filed against four individuals.
