In Narsinghpur district, a domestic dispute over tea preparation tragically resulted in a fatal incident. The accused, Manoj Soni, allegedly murdered his wife, Lata Soni, by slitting her throat after she refused to make him tea. The altercation reportedly stemmed from the husband's need to take his asthma medication with tea, and existing marital disputes intensified the situation.
The crime came to light when a friend of the victim's son reported finding 45-year-old Lata Soni deceased in an upstairs room with grievous neck injuries. Investigations quickly identified Manoj Soni as the primary suspect, who had fled the couple's residence following the killing on December 9. A manhunt was initiated for his apprehension.

Police successfully recovered the murder weapon, a knife, and the clothes worn by the accused during the incident from his hideout. The accused has since been presented before the court and remanded to judicial custody.
