Jhabua police apprehended three individuals on October 8 in connection with the August 28 abduction of Apoorva Sharma, a 26-year-old man from Ujjain. The motive behind the kidnapping is believed to be a financial dispute amounting to nearly Rs 1 crore, stemming from a shared CCTV installation business.
The incident occurred when Sharma was in Bamania. He was allegedly forced into a hatchback by the accused. A swift police response initiated a chase from Bamania towards Ujjain, leading the suspects to abandon Sharma at Dewas Naka in Indore before they fled.
Following their escape, police identified the suspects as Prakash Kumar Patel, Ayush Tiwari, and Sunil Kumar Patel, all residents of Indore. A coordinated search operation was conducted across Indore and Ujjain, leading to their eventual arrest after a tip-off regarding their movements in Vijay Nagar and Mahalakshmi Nagar.
