25 Sep
Summary
- Man jailed over seven years for tractor attack on home.
- Stolen tractor, valued at £30,000, used in early morning attack.
- Incident stemmed from a feud related to a desecrated grave.
Nathan Blagg, 28, received a jail sentence exceeding seven years for a series of offenses, including ramming a stolen tractor into a family's home. The incident occurred in the early hours of May 9, approximately nine miles from where the tractor was stolen.
Blagg had previously stolen the £30,000 Massey Ferguson tractor from a farm. The court heard that this act of vandalism was motivated by a feud concerning a desecrated grave.
The homeowners reported living in constant fear of further attacks. The farmer whose tractor was stolen highlighted the difficulties of his livelihood, compounded by such theft.
Blagg also pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicle taking, criminal damage, affray, and stealing a pensioner's car. He had used cloned number plates to access the farm where the tractor was stolen.
