Timothy Bossard, 42, has been jailed for 21 months after being found guilty of intentional suffocation. The incident occurred in 2025 when Bossard suffocated his partner with a pillow, causing what she described as "lasting and life-changing damage."
His victim stated in a court impact statement that the assault transformed her from a supportive individual to someone requiring help herself. This change has been deeply painful and disorienting. Bossard was also issued a two-year restraining order, prohibiting contact with his victim and visits to her home.
Wiltshire Police investigator Catherine Barrett commended the victim's courage in coming forward. The investigation began in December 2025 after the victim reported the incident. Barrett emphasized that the victim's strength ensured Bossard no longer poses a threat to her.
