A man has been sentenced to seven years imprisonment at the High Court in Edinburgh for multiple violent offenses. Connor Whittlestone, 26, of Inverness, was found guilty of four charges of rape, one of assault with intent to rape, and abusive conduct.
These severe crimes were committed against two women between 2020 and 2024. The locations affected by Whittlestone's actions include Inverness, Nairn, and several villages within the Highlands region.
During his trial, Whittlestone denied the charges. However, the court found him guilty. Sentencing the offender, Judge Michael O'Grady KC noted that Whittlestone had demonstrated "no empathy and limited remorse" for his actions.
