A tragic incident unfolded in Mynagapally Society Mukku near Sasthamkotta, where a 32-year-old man, Santhosh Kumar, allegedly died after being assaulted by his father and brother. Santhosh was undergoing treatment for mental illness and reportedly became violent at times.
The altercation began on Thursday night when Santhosh was upset over his food, leading to an argument with his elder brother, Sanal. According to the FIR, his father, Ramakrishnan, then allegedly attacked Santhosh with an iron rod, causing severe head injuries.
Ramakrishnan and Sanal are reported to have left Santhosh unattended, and he passed away without receiving any medical assistance. Police were alerted by a panchayat member on Friday morning and have arrested both the father and brother.
