Man Charged in Missing Woman Case
7 Nov
Summary
- Man accused of murder and hiding a corpse.
- Victim last seen traveling from Limerick to Enniskillen.
- Blood evidence found in suspect's camper van.

Michael Lynch, 35, appeared in court facing charges of murdering Carrie Mullane, 39, and unlawfully preventing the burial of her body. Ms. Mullane, last seen on October 10th, traveled from Limerick to Enniskillen. Police became aware of her disappearance on October 29th.
Lynch, who denies harming Ms. Mullane, claimed she left him after an argument and sent a cryptic message. However, evidence contradicts his account. Police believe Lynch concealed Ms. Mullane's body and evidence. A camper van, recently sold by Lynch, yielded crucial findings: a blood-stained carpet, a shoe, and cleaning products, all bearing Ms. Mullane's DNA. Blood spatter was also found on a TV in Lynch's residence.
Lynch was denied bail due to risks of witness interference, flight, and reoffending. He is scheduled to appear in court again on November 30th.
