The fatal incident occurred the next morning, June 19th, 2026, at a rented flat where the pair had stayed overnight. Following the attack, the accused transported the victim to a hospital. Initially, the victim and her mother declined to file a complaint.
The case intensified after the victim's death, leading her cousin to report that she had identified the accused from her hospital bed and that he had threatened her family. Investigators recovered a kerosene bottle from the accused's shop and seized his mobile phone for examination.
