Husband Booked for Wife's Mysterious Death

Police in Salem Tabri have registered a case against a man for allegedly abetting the suicide of his wife. The woman was discovered deceased under perplexing circumstances at their shared home, prompting a formal investigation.

The complaint was lodged by the deceased's mother, who stated her daughter had married the accused five years prior. According to the mother, the accused allegedly subjected his wife to continuous quarrels and harassment, which she believes led her daughter to take her own life.

The incident came to light when the accused contacted his wife's family on Friday evening, informing them of her apparent suicide. He claimed to have removed her body, secured the house, and left the key nearby, instructing them to collect it. The accused subsequently disappeared, switching off his phone after reportedly leaving their son with his sister.

Upon arriving at the residence and entering, the victim's family found her dead and immediately alerted the authorities. The case is being investigated under Section 108 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, with police actively working to trace the missing husband and ascertain the full circumstances surrounding the death.
