Friends Turn Killers in Drunken Brawl

Tragedy struck in the Jalaun area late Tuesday night when a 27-year-old man, identified as Mahendra alias Baba, was allegedly beaten to death by his friends during a liquor party. The incident stemmed from a drunken altercation that rapidly devolved into severe violence.

According to preliminary reports, Mahendra was with his friends Altaf, Raja, and Jeeshan when an argument erupted while they were consuming alcohol in a field. The dispute escalated, and Jeeshan allegedly struck Mahendra on the head with a brick. Altaf and Raja then also reportedly assaulted him with bricks, leading to his death at the scene.

Mahendra's family discovered his body after he failed to return home. Following a complaint from his brother Deepak, police registered a murder case and have since detained two individuals. Authorities are actively pursuing the remaining accused to bring them to justice.
