A week-long search concluded with the arrest of a 36-year-old man accused of fatally stabbing his wife. The incident unfolded on September 27 when the victim, Sonia, confronted her husband, Pardeep Kumar, at his biryani stall. She reportedly questioned him about alleged extramarital affairs, leading to a violent altercation.
Kumar is alleged to have then stabbed Sonia in the chest and neck with a butcher's knife. Police were alerted and transported her to Indira Gandhi Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Following the offense, Kumar absconded, but a tip-off on October 2 led to his capture in Sector 20, Dwarka.
Kumar and Sonia had been married since 2017 and resided in Palam village with their two children. Their marital relationship had reportedly been strained for some time, marked by frequent disputes and accusations of infidelity against Kumar. The investigation is ongoing to fully reconstruct the events, recover the weapon, and clarify all connected circumstances.
