FBI Agent Doxxed After Protest Data Theft

Jose Alberto Ramirez, 28, was arrested in Schaumburg, Illinois, on charges of transmitting threats to harm another. The arrest is connected to an incident that occurred last month following an immigration-related shooting in Minneapolis. During a protest at the shooting's scene, FBI agents were forced to evacuate on foot, leaving behind two government vehicles.

These vehicles were vandalized, and sensitive materials were stolen, including FBI identification, weapons, and rosters containing employees' phone numbers, email addresses, and home addresses. Within a day, agents whose information was compromised received numerous threatening communications, including calls and messages targeting their children and relatives.

One agent, identified as Victim A, received threats linked to a phone number used by Ramirez, with messages explicitly mentioning knowledge of the agent's mother, father, and children. The agent reported significant fear for their family's safety and has since taken extensive security measures at both work and home.
