28 Feb
Summary
- Man arrested for ex-wife's suspected murder in Bennett.
- Digital evidence linked ex-husband to stalking and death.
- Suspect faces multiple charges including first-degree murder.

A Colorado man, Ronald Elton Lowry, has been arrested for the suspected stalking and murder of his ex-wife, Richelle Lowry. She was found deceased in her Bennett home in October 2023, having suffered a single gunshot wound. Initial investigations were complicated by an undetermined autopsy report, though subsequent reviews reclassified the death as a homicide.
Evidence gathered included male DNA, though of low quality, and a neighbor's testimony about Richelle fearing for her life and receiving threats. Court documents revealed Richelle's concerns that her ex-husband might kill her for financial gain.
Investigators uncovered deleted videos on Ronald Lowry's phone showing Richelle with a new boyfriend, along with internet searches related to the boyfriend. Surveillance footage from two days before her body was found depicted a man near the home, whose hat resembled one worn by Lowry. AT&T records placed Lowry near his ex-wife's home multiple times, contradicting his statements about access and presence.
In November 2025, it was determined that Ronald Lowry stood to gain over $1 million if Richelle's death was ruled a suicide, leading to his disinheritance. He was arrested on Friday and faces charges including first-degree murder, stalking, and tampering with evidence.
