In April 2022, a Plum man intentionally caused an explosion at his home, severely damaging the property and injuring five individuals. Jacob Rabb tampered with his home's dryer gas valve, allowing gas to accumulate before detonation.
Rabb, his wife, and their three children were present during the blast. One child sustained first-degree burns. Investigators noted extremely high gas consumption in the days leading up to the incident.
Nearly four years after the explosion, Rabb is facing serious charges including attempted homicide. Evidence includes his own statements to investigators and his father, as well as a handwritten note discovered by his ex-wife.
The note, found in a kitchen cabinet, explicitly stated, "P.S. I did Blow up the House." His ex-wife also reported that Rabb confessed to disconnecting the gas valve and turning on the gas.
