In anticipation of Mahashivratri and a significant influx of Kanwariya devotees, Ghaziabad and Hapur traffic police have announced extensive diversions. These measures will be in effect from noon on February 13 until 4 PM on February 16.
Hapur district will prohibit heavy and light goods vehicles from entering from February 13 to February 16. Vehicles traveling from Ghaziabad towards Moradabad, Bareilly, or Lucknow will be rerouted via Dadri-Bulandshahr-Dibai-Naraura or use the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.
Ghaziabad authorities are implementing strict restrictions on commercial vehicles between Lal Kuan and the new bus stand, and around Chaudhary Mod. Movement near Gaushala Fatak and Dudheshwarnath Mandir will be completely prohibited for all vehicle types.
Over 900 traffic police personnel will be on duty in Ghaziabad to manage the expected crowds. A substantial police force, including over 600 officers and six ACPs, along with a PAC battalion, will be deployed at Dudheswarnath temple. More than 50 CCTV cameras are in place, with a monitoring room set up at the police chowki.
This comprehensive deployment aims to ensure smooth traffic flow and manage the large number of devotees expected to visit the Dudheswarnath temple and Brajghat.
